Position Title:
Communications/Photo-database Intern
Primary Responsibilities:
The Communications unit is seeking a summer intern to help organize, label, and tag photos in a large online photo database of over 10,000 images in addition to providing some general administrative and graphic design support.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Foundation's work in Asia through our impressive photo library and gain exposure to the internal operations of a non-profit international development organization.
This is a paid internship. Interns will earn $10/hour plus transportation reimbursement. Total remuneration will depend upon number of hours worked per week as well as start/end dates.
Required Skills:
Willing to work 2-3 days per week (M-F) -- for a minimum of 10 weeks (and up to a maximum of 6 months).
Background and interest in photography and/or graphic design
Strong attention to detail with an eye for photography, strong organizational skills
Familiarity with content management systems/database management and organization a plus, English fluency
Computer proficiency
Excellent interpersonal skills
Desire to learn and contribute
Start/End Dates:
August 2010 (specific dates to be determined) Flexible hours averaging 10-20 per week, possibility of working remotely after training period.
